Meteorologist Paul Douglas talks about climate

by Dave Dempsey, Conservation Minnesota

Interviewed this week on WCCO-TV by Don Shelby about his new partnership with Conservation Minnesota in providing outdoor recreation weather forecasts and climate analysis, meteorologist Paul Douglas said the science supporting the global warming hypothesis is strong, and deplored the politicization of the issue by those with an agenda.

“I don’t pretend to be an expert on climate, but I am following the Ph.D., the thousands of Ph.D. scientists who publish and who follow this every day, this is their livelihood,” said Douglas, “And I trust them. When a vast majority of them say this is not a fluke, it’s a trend. It’s not a fad it’s not an aberration.”

“It’s not political?” asked Shelby.

“No,” said Douglas. “But it’s been turned into this political football to further agendas.”
