More dirty deeds of our legislators. Please call yours and tell them lowering our water quality standards is not acceptable. And jobs is a smokescreen for the Iron Range legislators. People need to stand up and tell their legislators this is not acceptable.

I talked to Senator Klobuchar’s office this morning and asked why she would not sign on to Senator Bernie Sanders resolution supporting continued implementation of the Clean Air act. They could not provide an answer. Yet we had Senator Franken support it.
So I am wondering what has happened to Senator Klobuchar and, in my opinion, seeming to of lost some of our Minnesota values. (more…)

Around the country the basic right of workers to organize and collectively bargain is under attack. Ground zero for this battle has been Wisconsin, but the threats are arising all over the country. In Minnesota, Governor Dayton has promised to veto any legislative attack on workers’ rights, but this has not stopped the drumbeat of anti-labor and public worker demonization. (more…)
